In this post, I will run you through how to install Cisco CML-Personal on MacOS, fire up you first lab and start your hands on practice.
As at this post’s date, CML-Personal license is US$199 per year, and can be download from https://learningnetworkstore.cisco.com/cisco-modeling-labs-personal.
You can either follow the steps on this page, or skip right to the end and watch this included video.
Locate OVA file, and open with VM Fusion.
Select OVA file and continue.
Change your VM settings.
Depending on your Mac’s machine number of CPUs and RAM, adjust for optimal resources (I am using a 32G RAM and 4 Cores iMAC).

- Hard Disk ( 32Gb)
- CD/DVD
32Gb is what Cisco recommends.
ISO files is where are the Cisco nodes images are stored, make sure you map your DVD to it.
Start your VM and set the username and passwords.
